‘Oomph’? You Mean ‘Oof’, Right?

NaBloPoMo is fast approaching, and I really don’t know if I have the energy to do it after all.

I am terribly exhausted these days. I had been going to the gym between classes, but at this point, I am way too wiped out to continue doing that.

I think I need more sleep. But when you have to get up at 5 every morning, and you have homework and readings to keep you up until midnight, at least, getting more sleep really isn’t an option.

What I need is a new brain.

I’m not smart enough for this.

Letters I Might Write Home From University, Were I Not Still Living At Home

Dear Family,

On Wednesday I had two midterms. One at eight-thirty in the morning, and the other at six o’clock in the evening. It was awesome! I wish I could have days like that all the time! I’m getting there though – I have another midterm on Tuesday, and I don’t even have a textbook to study from! I get to hope that my notetaking abilities are above par and rely on them completely to give me the knowledge I need to pass this test! And the professor for that course is one of the hardest markers in the department, so I should have a rip-roaring time on that test!

And today, in my organic chemistry lecture, the professor called me a moron! My wish come true – he noticed me! Albeit, inadvertently. He was facing the other direction nobody over there had their hand up, and he said, “So, nobody wants to admit to being the moron who doesn’t understand this?”

And then he turned around. “So you’re the moron?” he said. I just shrugged and asked my question. Learning is fun! Especially when you’re being taught by people who sound like Stuart McLean, the guy who does the Vinyl Cafe on CBC radio. Especially especially when they inadvertently call you a moron!

University is going great!

p.s. Al Gore won the Nobel Peace Prize! That’s awesome!

Back From the Dead.

And by dead, I just mean absent. Because they are so obviously the same thing and all.

School is in full swing! I’m cramming lots of smart-person-type things into my head, and doing inane, useless laboratory exercises, I had a quiz in Organic Chemistry this morning, and heck, I even have midterms to look forward to next week! (Two next Wednesday, and one the Tuesday after that, for those of you with a burning desire to know.)

And then, only a month after those are done, a week or so into November, the next set of Midterms rolls around. Woo! And then! In December… Final exams!

(And to think – I pay for this. Actually, I’ve gone into massive debt for this! Am I crazy?)
